Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ encounter guide

Lightblossom Trinity

Three bonded rutaani share every point of damage through Thicket's Trinity, so the fight is really a soak check wrapped around free cleave. Keys die when nobody stands in a Lightblossom Beam, because each unblocked tick stacks Light-Gorged and the resulting Lightbloom Overgrowth ramps into group-wiping pulses, with Bedrock Surge and the Mythic-only Fan Of Thorns punishing anyone who is already low.

The key group plan

Priorities before the pull

  • Kick Light Bolt every time it is cast; it is the only interrupt on the boss and it always hits someone who is busy soaking or healing.
  • Assign a soaker to every Lightblossom Beam and soak by standing inside the flower, because every prevented Light-Gorged stack directly shrinks the next Overgrowth.
  • Cleave all three bosses freely since Thicket's Trinity shares all damage between them; there is no kill order, only total damage.
  • Treat the Thornblade ambush as a spread call on Mythic+, because Fan Of Thorns follows immediately and melting the whole melee camp is how this boss ends keys.

Kick list: Light Bolt

Ability reference

The casts that matter in keys

Lightblossom Beam

Lightblossom Beam

Kezkitt channels a beam onto each sown Lightblossom, applying a stack of Light-Gorged every pulse, and each stack increases that blossom's damage by 50 percent before it bursts in Lightbloom Overgrowth.

Assign one player to every active blossom and have them stand inside the flower itself, not in front of it, because standing in the beam stifles the growth and prevents all Light-Gorged stacks.

Light Bolt

Light Bolt

KICK

Kezkitt fires a heavy Holy bolt at a random player for roughly 116k damage, and it is the only interruptible cast on this encounter.

Rotate interrupts on Light Bolt for the whole fight, and make sure a player who is not currently soaking a beam owns the next kick.

Bedrock Slam

Bedrock Slam

Meittik crushes the tank with a huge Physical hit and ruptures the nearby ground into slowing Fertile Loam patches, and on Mythic+ the impact also triggers Bedrock Surge, which ticks group-wide Nature damage every second for 8 seconds.

The tank uses a defensive for the hit and angles the loam away from beam soak spots, while the healer treats every Bedrock Surge as a planned group healing window.

Lightsower Dash

Lightsower Dash

Lekshi dashes between the Fertile Loam patches, damaging anyone in the path and sowing a fresh Lightblossom at every destination.

Sidestep the dash lines, then immediately call which players soak the newly planted blossoms before Kezkitt's beams begin.

Thornblade

Thornblade

Lekshi teleports behind a random player and backstabs them with a 12 second bleed, and on Mythic+ the ambush is immediately followed by Fan Of Thorns at that spot.

Stay loosely spread the entire fight, and when the ambush lands the victim holds still while everyone else clears out of the follow-up.

Fan Of Thorns

Fan Of Thorns

Right after a Mythic+ Thornblade, Lekshi unleashes a flurry that ticks roughly 194k Nature damage per second for 3 seconds to everyone within 15 yards of them.

Everyone who is not the Thornblade target moves at least 15 yards away from the ambush instantly, and the target uses a personal defensive if caught inside.

Lightbloom Overgrowth

Lightbloom Overgrowth

A fully germinated blossom erupts and pulses group-wide Holy damage every second for 8 seconds, hitting harder for every Light-Gorged stack it was allowed to gain, and the spent loam turns into damaging Light-Scorched Earth.

If a blossom went unsoaked, the healer commits a cooldown for the full 8 second pulse and the group moves off the scorched ground it leaves behind.

Role calls

What each role owns

Tanks

Use a defensive for each Bedrock Slam and drop the Fertile Loam away from the blossom soak positions, then call the Bedrock Surge so the healer is ready for the aftershock.

Healers

Plan throughput for every Bedrock Surge window and hold a real cooldown for any missed blossom, because Overgrowth damage multiplies by 50 percent per Light-Gorged stack.

DPS

Your soak assignment comes before your damage; step into your blossom the moment beams start, cover Light Bolt kicks when you are free, and keep cleave rolling on all three bodies.

Everyone

Stay out of Lightsower Dash lines, off Light-Scorched Earth, and out of Fan Of Thorns range whenever a Thornblade ambush lands.

Tyrannical: A single unsoaked blossom becomes a healing emergency because each Light-Gorged stack multiplies the Overgrowth pulses, and Bedrock Surge overlapping an Overgrowth will kill players outright. Treat every soak as mandatory and bank one healing cooldown per Bedrock Slam.

Pull-time callouts

Say these before the pull

  • Soak inside the flower, not in front of the beam.
  • Kick Light Bolt; nothing else on this boss is kickable.
  • Thornblade victim holds still, everyone else clears 15 yards.
  • Loam slows you, so pre-position before Bedrock Surge starts ticking.
