WoW-God is built to help someone make a better in-game decision. These standards explain how we handle authored guides, live sources, uncertainty, and corrections.
Class, encounter, arena, macro, and keybind guides must answer a player decision: what to do, when to do it, why it works, and what changes by build, role, or encounter. A catalog entry, tooltip, or leaderboard row is not treated as a guide by itself.
Rankings, profiles, auction information, and collected builds can change without notice. WoW-God keeps those pages separate from editorial recommendations, shows their source and refresh context where available, and does not label an unavailable feed as a current recommendation.
When a character, leaderboard, or market source cannot be verified, the page should say so or remain unavailable. We do not invent a player profile, gear set, record, parse, or current best-in-slot result to fill a page.
Rotations, talents, consumables, and encounter instructions can change with a patch or hotfix. Guides identify their season or patch context and should be revised when the underlying mechanics change rather than silently preserving obsolete advice.
A lookup page is useful in the app, but it is not automatically an editorial search result. Database and tool pages are kept out of the editorial sitemap until they include enough original completion help, context, and verification to stand on their own.
Players can raise a correction or a missing context issue through the community area. Corrections should name the page, claim, current patch or mode, and a reproducible source or in-game observation.
Use a guide for the reasoning behind a choice, then verify a live character, ranking, or auction value immediately before acting on it. A live snapshot can inform a decision, but it cannot replace your own character, group, encounter, or market context.
