What WoW-God is for
The site is organized around real player jobs: learn a specialization, prepare for an encounter, build a usable keybind layout, compare talent choices, inspect an item or character, and understand why a recommendation changes by activity. A useful page should answer what to do, when to do it, and what evidence or mechanic supports the choice.
Guides and planners are the editorial layer. Rankings, characters, auction values, game entities, and imported account data are the live-data layer. WoW-God labels those layers separately because a current snapshot can be useful evidence without automatically becoming a universal recommendation.
How recommendations are built
Editorial work starts with the current in-game spellbook, talent trees, encounter mechanics, and official game data. It is then checked against high-level play, logs, reproducible in-game behavior, and specialist references where those sources add context. The final page must add original organization, decision rules, and practical instructions rather than restating a tooltip or reproducing another guide.
Patch-sensitive claims carry season or patch context where the underlying data supports it. When a feed is unavailable, the page identifies the missing source instead of inventing a player, price, parse, loadout, or best-in-slot result. The editorial standards page documents the publication rules in detail.
What WoW-God adds
The keybind planner models movement conflicts, finger travel, modifier preferences, action value, and action-bar placement. Class guides connect spell behavior, talent choices, encounter loadouts, macros, gear, and activity-specific preparation. Database relationships connect quests, NPCs, currencies, drops, vendors, recipes, and items rather than presenting isolated records.
These systems are designed and maintained as one product. External sources may verify a fact or provide a live record, but WoW-God's value is the analysis, workflow, and cross-linking that turns those facts into a usable plan.
Sources, corrections, and uncertainty
Primary sources are preferred: Blizzard game data and documentation, in-game observations, combat logs, and the original publisher of a change or mechanic. Third-party references are attributed near the claim they support. Warcraft Logs links point to the underlying record; they do not imply that one parse is the correct loadout for every group or player.
World of Warcraft changes through patches and hotfixes. If a page is wrong, stale, or missing a relevant condition, send the route, the disputed claim, the game version, and evidence that can be reproduced. Corrections are reviewed as product work, not buried as anonymous filler.
Independent, with clear boundaries
WoW-God is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft, Battle.net, and related names and artwork are trademarks or property of their respective owners. References to those products identify the game data and player workflows the site supports.
Advertising and first-party partner promotion do not determine editorial conclusions. Paid inventory is labeled, appears after reviewed editorial content, and is excluded from account, messaging, community, live-data, generated-reference, and utility screens.
