Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ encounter guide

Nalorakk

Nalorakk is a positioning check: Echoing Maul spawns Echoes of Nalorakk wherever the marked players stand, and at 100 energy Fury of the War God sends every Echo charging at the stunned Zul'jarra. Keys die when Echoes get dropped mid-room, reach Zul'jarra, and stack Demoralizing Scream's 10 percent damage-taken debuff until Overwhelming Onslaught becomes lethal.

The key group plan

Priorities before the pull

  • Place every Echoing Maul at the room edge, never in the middle near Zul'jarra.
  • Intercept every Echo charge during Fury of the War God, because each Echo that reaches Zul'jarra hits the whole group and stacks 10 percent increased damage taken for 30 seconds.
  • Stack behind Zul'jarra for Overwhelming Onslaught, then let only the tank soak Forceful Slam.

The casts that matter in keys

Echoing Maul

Echoing Maul

Nalorakk marks players for 4 seconds, then sends an Echo of Nalorakk to each marked position, striking players within 8 yards on arrival. Every Echo repeats later Maul hits and slashes nearby players with Spectral Slash, a stacking knockback damage over time effect, and each Echo persists through one extra Fury of the War God.

Marked players run to the assigned edge or corner before the Echo lands, keeping all Echoes clustered on one side of the room away from Zul'jarra.

Fury of the War God

Fury of the War God

At 100 energy Nalorakk headbutts Zul'jarra into Concussive Shock and commands every Echo to charge her position. Each Echo stops on the first player in its path and casts Echoing Fury on them, and any Echo that reaches Zul'jarra triggers Demoralizing Scream on the whole group.

Assign interceptors to body-block each charge lane with a defensive running. Because the Echoes were grouped at the edge, one or two players can cover every lane.

Overwhelming Onslaught

Overwhelming Onslaught

Nalorakk unleashes armor-ignoring attacks on all players every second for 3 seconds. Zul'jarra's Defensive Stance reduces that damage by 80 percent for players standing behind her, and the final hit knocks everyone back before Nalorakk targets her with Forceful Slam.

Stack behind Zul'jarra's shield the moment the cast begins and heal through the remainder. Standing outside the shield in a high key is death.

Forceful Slam

Forceful Slam

After Overwhelming Onslaught, Nalorakk slams Zul'jarra's position and hits every player within 6 yards of the impact for massive Physical damage. If nobody soaks it, Zul'jarra takes the full force and lets out Demoralizing Scream.

The tank soaks the slam alone with a major cooldown active. Everyone else stays more than 6 yards from the impact.

Forceful Roar

Forceful Roar

Nalorakk roars and pushes every player away from him.

Pre-position with your back toward safe ground so the push cannot throw you into an Echo pack or out of your intercept lane.

Role calls

What each role owns

Tanks

Soak Forceful Slam with active mitigation after every Onslaught, and pick up an intercept lane when the group is short a body.

Healers

Treat Overwhelming Onslaught plus the Echoing Fury intercepts as the healing check, and top everyone off before the boss reaches 100 energy.

DPS

Drop your Maul marks in the assigned corner, then own your intercept lane with a defensive when Fury of the War God begins.

Everyone

Recover your position immediately after Forceful Roar, because a stray charge lane opens every time someone is out of place.

Tyrannical: Every failed intercept compounds fast, because Demoralizing Scream stacks make the next Onslaught lethal even behind the shield. Keep Echo discipline perfect, slow the pull if stacks are up, and hold lust for a clean final Fury window.

Pull-time callouts

Say these before the pull

  • Echoes persist for one extra Fury of the War God, so a bad placement punishes you twice.
  • Never intercept two charges in a row without a defensive, because each block takes an Echoing Fury hit.
  • Demoralizing Scream stacks 10 percent increased damage taken for 30 seconds, and two screams into Onslaught usually wipes the group.
  • Overwhelming Onslaught ignores armor, so the shield behind Zul'jarra matters for the tank as well.
