Retribution Paladin Course
Holy Power melee burst with Templar's Verdict and Avenging Wrath.
Complete these eight checkpoints in order. They are a practical route through WoW-God, not a claim that one build or one gear set works in every fight.
- 1Open keybind planner
Build your interface and key space
Set up action bars, system bindings, nameplates, cooldown visibility, and a Retribution Paladin layout. Your first keys go to the actions required for uptime, target access, defensive timing, interrupts, and cleave target counts.
- 2Open spec macros
Create your combat toolkit
Add target, party, arena, mouseover, stop-cast, and target-safe damage macros only where they solve a real targeting problem. Keep the normal spellbook action separate from a macro when both are useful.
- 3Open talent calculator
Choose a current talent loadout
Start with the live talent tree, then compare the Templar single-target and Templar multi-target hero paths. Rebuke is a non-negotiable utility bind.
- 4Open spec guide
Learn your rotation, utility, and gear decisions
Use the spec guide to rehearse the opener, priority list, defensive plan, interrupt/CC toolkit, stats, enchants, consumables, and race tradeoffs. Verify gear per boss or dungeon instead of trusting a permanent one-size-fits-all BiS list.
- 5Open raid boss guides
Practice content-specific play
Use boss guides for raid assignments and positioning, dungeon guides for route and kick plans, and the role guide for personal responsibility. Treat delves, hunts, ritual sites, and void assaults as real practice for movement, interrupts, and defensives.
- 6Open arena guide
Learn PvP setup and matchup choices
Study crowd-control diminishing returns, arena map positioning, target swaps, and defensive trades. Use the talent calculator and your spec guide to adapt against the opposing composition rather than copying one PvP build blindly.
- 7Open crafting planner
Build your character economy and collection plan
Use profession talent guides, crafting profitability, and item pricing to plan purchases and listings. Then use mounts, pets, appearances, and achievement goals to give weekly play a purpose beyond item level.
- 8Return to core curriculum
Become a complete WoW player
Round out the specialization with skyriding, game panels, addon and Edit Mode profiles, raids and Timewalking, classic-era game modes, realm selection, lore, and class comparisons. Know when your spec is the right answer and when another role better fits the group.
Track completion
Mark this path complete after you have configured and tested your own character. Completion unlocks the specialization portion of WoW-God Certification; it does not certify a build as permanently current.
