Positioning, Trinket & Defensives
In PvP, where you stand and when you press your buttons decides the match more than your raw damage.

Positioning
- Use pillars and line of sight to break enemy casts and body-block CC.
- Stay close enough for your healer to reach you, but not so stacked that you both get hit.
- Do not overextend onto a target where you can be CC'd and killed.
Trinket and defensives
- Your PvP trinket removes one CC on a cooldown - save it for a lethal moment.
- Layer defensives when you are the target: pre-press before their burst, then rotate.
- Recognize the enemy burst setup (cooldowns plus CC on your healer) and defend through it.
Target selection
- Focus a target you can actually kill - often the one with weaker defensives or no escape.
- Swap targets when your kill target trinkets or defends.
- Call your swaps and CC so your team hits the same target.
Key takeaways
- Use line of sight and pillars to neutralize casters and CC.
- Trinket the lethal CC, not the first one; rotate defensives under pressure.
- Focus a killable target and coordinate swaps with your team.
