I know my uncle can seem... off at times. His talk of de loa always felt like childhood stories to me. But ever since Jan'alai returned, I feel her energy too! She flickers, she smolders, she burns red hot. She also brings warmth, light, and life! But what I feel from her right now is distress--dat of a mother hen counting her chicks but comin' up short. Let's check on de hatchlings. We can cover more ground if we split up.
