How Mythic+ Works
Mythic+ is WoW's endless dungeon ladder. Understanding the timer, keystones, and rewards makes every run make sense.

Keys and levels
- A keystone sets the dungeon's difficulty level; higher levels mean tougher enemies and better rewards.
- Timing the dungeon upgrades your key; missing the timer still completes it but downgrades the key.
- Your Mythic+ rating (score) comes from your best timed runs across all dungeons.
The timer and deaths
- Each dungeon has a time limit; you must clear a set enemy percentage plus the bosses.
- Every death subtracts time from the timer - dying is often worse than a slow pull.
- You beat the timer with efficient pulling, not reckless speed.
Rewards
- Finishing awards gear now and adds to your Great Vault choices next week.
- Higher keys award higher item level, up to a cap.
Key takeaways
- Time the key to upgrade it; deaths cost timer and often the run.
- Your score is the sum of your best runs across all dungeons.
- Every run feeds your weekly Great Vault.
