Crown of the Cosmos

Crown of the Cosmos alternates a Coronation burn phase with a shielded Celestial Court add phase. Tanks trade Gravitic Crush under Weight of Rule, marked players bank Starfall scars on the rim, and the raid kills the three Crown Jewels in order to shatter the Aegis and unload during Dimmed Crown before Cosmic Scars consume the floor.

Before the pull

Set the encounter assignments before pull

  • Mark three Starfall drop arcs on the outer rim before the pull. Every impact leaves a permanent Cosmic Scar, so plan a full fight's worth of drops in the same arcs rather than improvising each set.
  • Set the Crown Jewel kill order - Eternity, then Dominion, then Splendor - and assign a dedicated interrupt rotation for Umbral Decree on the Jewel of Dominion.
  • Split the raid into two Collapsing Star soak groups and name a backup for each. A star that collapses unsoaked detonates across the whole raid.
  • Hold Bloodlust or Heroism for the first Dimmed Crown. The shattered-Aegis window is the best damage in the fight, and every later Court spawns jewels with more health.
Fight flow

Resolve the encounter in this order

  1. 01

    Open in the clean center

Keep the Crown near the middle with the raid loosely spread. Crowning Radiance pulses on a fixed timer; healers cover it with rolling throughput and save major cooldowns for the Court and the burn window.

  2. 02

    Trade Gravitic Crush

The active tank takes Gravitic Crush and gains a stack of Weight of Rule. Swap after every second Crush; a tank eating a third stack during Radiance is close to unhealable.

  3. 03

    Bank Starfall on the rim

Marked players walk to their assigned rim arc before the stars land. Stack new Cosmic Scars onto old ones and keep the center clean - lost floor never comes back.

  4. 04

    Collapse the star

When a Collapsing Star forms, the assigned group soaks it together to split the damage and end the pull-in. Never soak while carrying a Starfall mark; call your backup instead.

  5. 05

    Work the Celestial Court

At full energy the Crown seals itself in Aegis of Stars and summons three Crown Jewels. Tanks pick up Dominion and Splendor, kicks rotate on Umbral Decree, and the raid follows the kill order while stepping out of each jewel's Shatterlight ring.

  6. 06

    Unload during Dimmed Crown

The last jewel death shatters the Aegis and stuns the Crown for 15 seconds of increased damage taken. Spend cooldowns here, then reset to opening positions before the next Coronation begins.

Mechanics

What each mechanic asks of you

Crowning Radiance

Healers

Treat the pulse as scheduled rolling damage. Keep the raid above the Gravitic Crush and Collapsing Star overlaps rather than reacting after them.

Failure: Spending major cooldowns on routine pulses leaves nothing for the Court, where Blinding Glory stacks the real healing check.

Gravitic Crush and Weight of Rule

Tanks

Swap after every second Crush. The debuff increases the next Crush taken, so the count is the plan - not health bars.

Failure: A third stack turns a routine tank hit into a one-shot, and a missed Crush splashes punitive damage across the raid.

Starfall and Cosmic Scar

Marked players

Carry your star to the assigned rim arc and stand still for the impact. Overlap old scars whenever possible.

Failure: A star dropped in the center permanently shrinks the playable floor and ruins later Collapsing Star soak positions.

Collapsing Star

Soak groups

The assigned group stacks inside the star before it fully forms and splits the collapse. Personals cover the hit; the backup fills any gap.

Failure: An unsoaked collapse detonates raid-wide and drags scattered players across Cosmic Scars.

Celestial Court

DPS and interrupters

Kill Eternity first to stop Rewind Star, then Dominion, then Splendor. Every Umbral Decree gets kicked by the rotation, not by whoever notices.

Failure: Ignoring Eternity lets it heal back your kill-order progress, and a completed Decree hits the raid while it is already split.

Shatterlight

Everyone

Every jewel death sends an expanding ring from its corpse. Step out, then step back in - do not drift toward another jewel's ring.

Failure: Chained rings during the Court kill players who tunnel the next jewel through the explosion.

Crowning RadianceCoronation phase

A raid-wide Shadow pulse on a fixed timer throughout the burn phase.

Raid response: Heal it with rolling throughput. Major cooldowns belong to the Court and the re-entry after Dimmed Crown.

A heavy strike that slams the active tank into the floor and applies Weight of Rule.

Raid response: Swap after every second Crush and use a major defensive when taking one at a stack.

Weight of RuleTank debuff

Stacking debuff that sharply increases the damage of the next Gravitic Crush taken.

Raid response: The two-Crush swap cadence is fixed. A tank at two stacks stops taking the boss until it expires.

StarfallCoronation phase

Marked players are targeted by falling stars that leave permanent void ground where they land.

Raid response: Walk to the assigned rim arc and take the hit there. Stack scars on scars.

  • Cosmic Scar: Permanent void ground left by every Starfall impact.
Collapsing StarCoronation phase

A singularity forms, pulls the raid inward, then collapses for damage split among players inside it.

Raid response: The assigned group soaks together with personals. Everyone else plants against the pull.

The Crown seals itself in Aegis of Stars and animates three Crown Jewels around the arena.

Raid response: Kill order is Eternity, Dominion, Splendor. Tanks hold Dominion and Splendor apart while kicks cover Dominion.

  • Aegis of Stars: The Crown is immune to damage until all three jewels are destroyed.
  • Jewel of Eternity: Channels Rewind Star, an uninterruptible heal on the other jewels. First kill target.
  • Jewel of Dominion: Melees its tank hard and casts the interruptible Umbral Decree.
  • Jewel of Splendor: Pulses Blinding Glory raid damage that grows the longer it lives.
Umbral DecreeAdd phase

An interruptible cast from the Jewel of Dominion that blasts the raid and hastens the caster.

Raid response: The assigned rotation kicks every cast. A completed Decree during the split Court is how Court phases fall apart.

Shatterlight

Jewel death

Each dying jewel releases an expanding ring of arcane damage from its corpse.

Raid response: Step out of the ring, then return to the kill order. Never route through a second ring.

Dimmed CrownBurn window

When the Aegis shatters, the Crown falls stunned for 15 seconds and takes increased damage.

Raid response: This is the fight's damage window. Send held cooldowns, and Bloodlust or Heroism on the first one.

Role plan

Your job in the pull

Tanks

Own the Crush count: swap after every second Gravitic Crush without being asked. In the Court, split Dominion and Splendor to opposite sides so Shatterlight rings never overlap the raid's kill target.

Healers

Roll Radiance cheaply, then spend for the Court - Blinding Glory ramps the whole phase - and again when Coronation resumes after Dimmed Crown. The Collapsing Star soak group needs topping before the collapse, not after.

DPS

Kill-order discipline beats meter value: Eternity first, every Umbral Decree kicked, and no cooldowns banked past Dimmed Crown. Melee should preposition on the next jewel before the current one dies.

Everyone

The floor is a budget. Every Starfall in the wrong place and every panicked scatter across Cosmic Scars makes the last Coronation unplayable. Place mechanics like the fight lasts eight minutes, because it does.
