Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ encounter guide

Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein

This council fight opens with Erkhart on the ground while Kyrakka strafes the platform with Roaring Firebreath and Inferno Spit, and once either boss reaches 40 percent health Kyrakka lands and Erkhart remounts her for the final burn. Keys die to Winds of Change pushing players and Flaming Embers across the platform, to casts eaten by Interrupting Cloudburst, and to Stormslam stacks left undispelled on the tank.

The key group plan

Priorities before the pull

  • Kyrakka is the kill priority whenever she is in range; burn her hard every time she is on the ground.
  • Dispel Stormslam off the tank after every single cast; sitting stacks plus Nature damage is how tanks die here.
  • Everyone stops casting for Interrupting Cloudburst; a school-locked healer during Winds of Change loses the key.
Ability reference

The casts that matter in keys

Inferno Spit

Inferno Spit

Kyrakka spits a gout of fire onto a player that ticks Fire damage for 6 seconds. When the effect ends it explodes on players within 8 yards and creates Flaming Embers on the ground where it was dropped.

Carry the debuff to the platform edge before it expires so the embers land out of the way, and healers keep the target topped through the ticks.

Flaming Embers

Flaming Embers

Patches of burning ground tick heavy Fire damage every second on anyone inside them. Erkhart's Winds of Change physically pushes these ember patches around the platform.

Seed the embers at the edges early, track where the wind is pushing them, and keep the center of the platform clear for the second phase.

Roaring Firebreath

Roaring Firebreath

Kyrakka breathes a frontal cone of flame that applies a Fire damage-over-time effect to anyone caught in it.

Dodge the cone every time; the tank drags Erkhart next to Kyrakka while she breathes so the group gets free cleave.

Interrupting Cloudburst

Interrupting Cloudburst

In Mythic+, Erkhart conjures a torrent that hits every player with Nature damage and interrupts casting, locking the interrupted school for 2 seconds.

Finish or cancel your cast just before it lands; healers pre-cast or hold an instant so the lockout never catches a triage moment.

Winds of Change

Winds of Change

Erkhart conjures a localized hurricane that ticks Nature damage for 8 seconds while pushing both the players and Kyrakka's Flaming Embers across the platform.

Brace with your back toward safe ground before the push starts, and never let it slide you into an ember patch or off your interrupt range.

Stormslam

Stormslam

DISPEL: MAGIC

Erkhart delivers a massive Physical plus Nature blow to a player and applies a stacking Magic debuff that increases Nature damage taken by 100 percent per stack for 30 seconds.

The tank uses a defensive for the hit and the healer dispels the Magic debuff immediately after every cast so stacks never sit.

Role calls

What each role owns

Tanks

Face Erkhart away from the group, hold a defensive for each Stormslam, and drag him on top of Kyrakka whenever she is groundside so the party cleaves both bosses.

Healers

Dispel Stormslam instantly, keep Inferno Spit targets topped through the ticks, and time your casts around the Interrupting Cloudburst lockout.

DPS

Swap everything to Kyrakka the moment she is in range and clip your casts early before each Cloudburst lands.

Everyone

Walk Inferno Spit to the edge before it expires and keep one eye on where Winds of Change is pushing the Flaming Embers.

Tyrannical: The mounted phase overlap of Winds of Change, spreading embers, and Cloudburst is what breaks groups, so hold Bloodlust for Kyrakka's grounded windows, seed embers at the edges from the first minute, and never bank Stormslam stacks into the 40 percent transition.

Pull-time callouts

Say these before the pull

  • Stop casting before Interrupting Cloudburst lands - the 2 second lockout is the real damage.
  • Inferno Spit goes to the platform edge, never dropped in the middle.
  • Dispel the tank after every Stormslam.
  • Kill Kyrakka first; the fight collapses once the dragon is down.
